Here are the Round 7 report from the Austian Chess Federation and the final results of the ECC-2006.
Women An exciting final brings the last round. Mika Yerevan can´t manage a win against Cheliabinsk. All four games end draw. So Sakartvelo would have won title with a victory against Saratov. However, after two draws Natalija Pogonina stops with a win against Nana Dzagnidze all hopes and makes Yerevan to European Club Cup winner 2006. A great success for Chiburdanidze, Danielian, Khurtsidze and Aginian, who were ranked as number 7 only.

Here is the Round 6 report of the Austrian Chess Federation.
Women Status quo on top of table is unchanged after round 6. Yerevan wins 3,5:0,5 against Herzliya Chess Club. Only Maia Chiburdanidse accepts a draw offer of Irina Botvinnik after 6 moves. Nino Khrutsidze shows excellent form. She scores again full point and has now 5,5/6.

Here is the Round 5 report of the Austrian Chess Federation and some press photos.
Women Preliminary decision in womens competition. Round 5 brings a 2,5:1,5 for Yerevan against Saratov. Maia Chiburdandse wins a benoni against Natalija Pogonina. This is basis for this 4th team win. Now Yerevan has played against nearly all strong team and all chances to win tournament. Only stumbling block could be team of Cheliabinsk, who are second placed in start ranking list, but play bad. Yesterday they lost against St. Petersburg with 0,5:3,5.

Here is the Round 4 report of the Austrian Chess Federation.
Women First team-draw for Yerevan. Maia Chiburdanidse wins against Nana Dzagnidze but Lela Javakhishvili keeps for Sakartvele a 2:2. Russian favorit Krasnoturinsk shows best form in match with Herzliya. Stefanova, Kosintseva Tatiana, Kosintseva, Nadezhda and Maria Kursova win all games. Result is 4:0.

ECC2006 will finish tonight! At the closing ceremony, which starts at 9PM CET, the cups will change their owners.
European Club Cup tournament director Dirk De Ridder and European Club Cup for Women tournament director Werner Stubenvoll have been preparing for the handing over the cups. We are impatiently looking forward to enlightening of this event!

Here is the Round 3 report of the Austrian Chess Federation and some press photos.
Women Third win in a row for Nino Khurtsidze and Mika Yeravan. The armenian Team of Maia Chiburdanidse gets a narrow victory against Chess Club Podgorica and has now beaten numbers 1, 3 and 4 of the starting rank list. Nino Khurtsidze wins a decisive game and scores 3 points from 3 games.
