On Thursday, 13 March 2008, a special stamp was issued in Dresden (Germany). The promotion day was organized by the company Deutsche Post AG, the Association of Saxon Philatelists and the Association for Saxon Postal History and Philatelie in cooperation with the City of Dresden.

Chess Tournament for Diplomats

ECU sponsored a chess tournament for diplomats which was organized in the German embassy in Yerevan/Armenia and which was supported by the Chess Federation of Armenia. This idea was gratefully accepted by the diplomats and should be continued once a year.

The deadline of registration for the European Individual Championships 2008 in Plovdiv/Bulgaria is 15 March. Late applications will be charged with an extra fee.

A Czech Team (GM Vlastimil Jansa, GM Jiri Lechtynsky, IM Josef Pribyl, IM Jindrich Trapl, IM Jan Sikora-Lerch) has won the 10th European Senior Team Championship in Dresden (Germany).
