Dear Friends,

Attached you will find the official invitation to next year’s European Individual Women’s Championship being held in Chisinau/Moldova. We would like to emphasize that registrations only have to be made by the national federations.

The negotiations concerning the European Individual Championship 2005 have come to an end. ECU President Boris Kutin succeeded in finalizing the details with the Polish Chess Federation and the organizing club Polonia Warsaw. The exact time schedule still has to be fixed, but this championship is supposed to be held from 17 June (arrival) until 3 July 2005.

We would like to remind you about the International Congress "Chess at Schools" in Eschede/Netherlands from 7 to 12 November 2005. Federations which are prepared to act as co-organizers are requested to inform us by the end of this year.

At the end of this year the ECU Board would like to thank all federations for their co-operation. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
