Dear friends,

Enclosed you will find the minutes of the General Assembly being held on 6th December 1999 in Batumi, Georgia.

I would like to emphazise that the deadline of the bids of the European Championships 2000 will be the end of February 2000. The bid’s procedure is still open for the Individual European Women’s Championship, the European Club Cup, the European Club Cup for Women and the Individual European Senior Championship.

For all European events 2001, the bids should reach the ECU Secretariat by the end of May 2000.

The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for 7th until 9th January 2000 in Budapest. The Board will then decide about the venue of the Individual European Chess

Championship and the European Junior Championship 2000.

At the beginning of next year, we will publish an ECU handbook with all regulations and a lot of adresses. We, therefore, ask you to check the data of your federation. Please fill in the missing or uncorrect addresses and return it as soon as possible to our Secretariat.
